The Mill City Summer Opera (MCSO) is a new arts organization that aims to bring this art form to new audiences by staging first-class opera outdoors in the intimate setting of the historic mill ruins location along the Mississippi River. Our work entailed developing a colorful and fun brand to differentiate this company from the traditional opera that performs at the Ordway. This brand was highlighted in postcards for a series of fundraisers held in supporters’ homes. We also developed the concept, pricing and materials for the company’s first sponsorship packages and advertising programs as well as their new website. The playbill for Barber of Seville won a Graphic Design USA award. A singing success!
