Peter Hill Design was integral to the inaugural GermanFest’s success from the initial planning stages through the final event promotions. First, the agency developed the branding that included some traditional German elements with modern twists – like clever copy and a wiener on a stick as the visual icon. The agency then provided a full-service integrated campaign on a limited budget, that was stretched by leveraging the paid advertising and earned media through various media relation’s efforts, including memorable press kits.
The agency produced all the creative including digital, print, and outdoor advertising, email blasts, radio spots and event signage. Social media was utilized for promotions and kept the crowd updated throughout the weekend. Multiple local news outlets spotlighted the event. The relighting of the historic Schmidt Brewery sign was a highlight that featured several community leaders. Attendance far exceeded the projections and proved to be a high-quality event celebrating German culture.
