National Finalists AGAIN!

January 1, 2018

Local law firm client, Larson King, made the finalist list for four years in a row on AbovetheLaw.com’s national holiday card contest. Every year the goal is to create a fun and playful holiday greeting for the law firm’s clients. This year the card featured animations representing the good life in the frozen north. The firm’s national client base thinks there are a lot of things silly about Minnesota winters, so Peter Hill Design featured local quirks like ice fishing, snow mobiles, extremely cold weather, etc. This tongue in cheek video included hand-drawn animations and rockin’ holiday music with custom lyrics and original vocals to the tune of Jingle Bells.

First Time Finalists
YM&C is a California-based law firm who made it to the finals for the first time. This video had a more serious meaning behind the whimsical fairy tale. This fairy tale ending that made dreams come true, is what their clients work tirelessly to provide to children throughout the US.

Peter Hill Design hand-created the art and the pop-up book style animation was something new and different. Since the firm’s clients are mostly educators and teachers, the art has a child-like style to appeal to this audience. The original script was created by the agency in collaboration with the law firm and a professional voice over and music were commissioned to match the fairy-tale style.
