As the creative team explored avenues to unveil the Open Arms story, they further developed the Momentum theme as a framework for the annual report. They crafted compelling content and visual infographics to tell the moving story of the efforts on behalf of the organization. The annual report included many colorful, bright and bold infographics to convey both statistical figures and the impact Open Arms had on the community that year in an appealing and easily digestible way.
The annual report was chosen as a Merit winner in the 2014 HOW International Design Awards. This highly selective and well-regarded competition sponsored by HOW magazine, an authority on design, recognizes outstanding creative work produced by individuals and creative agencies from around the world. The expert judges evaluated 1,070 entries and selected 300 winning projects that demonstrated an ideal mix of concept, strategy and execution from top global agencies. Entries were judged by type of work and also by how effectively the design achieved the stated business goals.
The winning project is now featured in the March 2015 issue on page 42.
